HKSYU, APR 24 –Hong Kong (has-use present, otherwise means it is no longer the case) appreciated (for being) as a (creative) city of creativity. Flipping through the political irony pieces towards Henry Tang Ying-yen, the former Chief Executive candidate, has successfully shown (art) creativity of web users. The piece of work putting Henry Tang’s face onto the poster of Harry Potter and the Chamber of secret has gained much praise(s) and it is a good irony towards (the scenario in recent year-unclear-explain the situation).

However, ‘Creativity’ in Hong Kong is now becoming sick and its death is going to be certified. Despite of the swift and furnished developing trend of local creation, the government is still planning to issue the ‘Copyright Law’ for the sake of further restriction. (creative!)

Geordie Toh, a legal consultant criticized (that-omit) this law (for being) unhealthy (and) to over-restrict(progressive) creativity of web users to post derivative work of political irony in HKSYU general assembly.

‘I agree that (it-there) should be limitations for derivative work and the restrictions are needed but (pronoun) should not to be too rigorous,’ Toh stressed.

He expressed his great worry (on-about) this implementation that it would be weird and disappointing if derivative works like putting non-fiction characters (which is similar?) to current political figures are banned and becom(ing-match tense of previous verb) illegal.

“The government needs to strike a balance between the protection of the originality of work and the creativity of web users,” said Toh.

The third reading of the amendment will be undergone (i)n May 7. The “Copyright (Amendment) Bill 2011” suggested that derivative work violates the copyright and should be considered as a criminal offence. All the violators should be subjected to criminal prosecution. In general case, the punishment of offenders varies in different scenarios.

“(By-omit) using certain characters’ names in books or movies helps for expressing feelings and it should be acceptable and more fun for readers and I hope that it will not be illegal based on the copyright law,” he added.

Good effort, I like that you try to be add your own "twist" on the story (death of creativity).
