Hong Kong people place great emphasis on freedom of speech. Ivan M.W. Yau, Assistant General Manager of Sino Group Corporate Communications Department, said that Hong Kong media had changed a lot after the handover in 1997.

He believes that after the handover, many things have changed. For instance, the government and different organizations changed their structures. “The media of Hong Kong also had more contact more frequently with the media in the Mainland than the past,” he said. But he pointed out this does not mean that self-censorship has increased. “After the handover, the press criticisms about the government policies continued to increase, there are more and more scandals discovered,' Ivan Yau explained.

He also said that due to different editors in different agencies have different stances, the orientation of their report upon the same news vary. And he believes that we should focus on the authenticity of the news instead.

((final paragraph seems a bit forced, but everything else is concise and relevant...good work))
