Hao Tie Chuan, the director-general of Department of Publicity, Cultural

and Sports Affairs Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in

the Hong Kong S.A.R., said today in Hong Kong that people who opposed to

the China government is quite impossible to be the chief executive of Hong

Kong.

He said that it is conceivable that a nation will not find a chief

executives who opposed to it. He said,’ having a person who is accountable

to the central government is a confirmation to the system and the stability

of Hong Kong.’

He said,’ I do not agree with public nomination, based to the Basic Law,

candidates should be put forward by a nomination committee to ensure “balanced

participation” which means people from different parties can have a say in the

nomination process and avoid discrepancies .

Li Fei, chairman of the Basic Law Committee said last week that the chief executive

must be a person who loves the country as well as Hong Kong. Hao replied that the

chief executive has to report duties to the china government, it should be a person

who is responsible to the central government and Hong Kong, people who do not love

the government cannot take up the post. --115041 2013年11月26日 (二) 17:52 (UTC)
