The scandal of former Administrative Secretary Henry Ying-yen Tong arouses keen debates among the society, regarding his personality for being the next Hong Kong Chief Executive.

An experienced Public Relations practitioner, Esme Lau, reckons Tong has already admitted the fault he committed, and has done his best to settle the scandal.

The bravery he shows should be taken into account,” she added.

However, the Head of Journalism Department in Hong Kong Shue Yan University, Leung Tin-wai criticized Tong, and said he lacked political sense and would not be s capable Chief Executive.

Leung took how Bill Clinton handled his scandal as a comparison. The response Tong made was totally a disaster as the speech was too vague to soften the case, meanwhile, showing the lack of political sense.
