(An obvious mistake when you said 3th September. It should be 3rd and a better way to put it would be "since September 3rd". We usually say price increase instead of price expansion. In your lead, the name Hong Kong Economic Journal appeared twice which I consider redundant. You can simply put it like this: Tim Chan, the executive chief editor of the paper, admitted.....In news writing, we usually spell out the full name and title when it first appears like Tim Chan, the executive.....,but thereafter, we can simply put it as Mr. Chan and then Chan and etc.)

Hong Kong Economic Journal has raised its price to $8 from $6 since September 3rd. It has become the first newspaper to raise the price among Chinese local newspapers in the recent 12 years. Tim Chan, the executive chief editor of Hong Kong Economic Journal, admitted that the sales volume of their newspaper has decreased after price expansion.

In a talk held by Hong Kong Shue Yan University, Tim Chan talked about the sales volume of Hong Kong Economic Journal after the $2 increase. Though the sales volume has decreased, Tim Chan emphasized that the sales decrease was very minor. He explained that for the habitual readers of Hong Kong Economic Journal, this newspaper was a kind of necessity so the reaction was not strong. He added that the financial and economic news industry was the most marketable and able to raise price.

As an experienced journalist, Tim Chan pointed out that the printed newspaper industry was dying because of the rapid development of technology. He then mentioned a discovery that all the passengers on a train were using their smart phones instead of reading printed newspaper like few years ago. However, he insisted that the career of a journalist was still so positive. Following by an explanation that the new media such as Facebook requires even faster and more updated information and news, thus people reporting the most updated information are still in needs. He stressed that, journalists are always required unless people are not interested to gain the updated news and information.
