(9 April 2013) Chen Jane, the News Director of One TV, said the production of news in her company was like making cuisine in a private kitchen as her company would try a different dimension in working.

She criticized that ordinary media in Hong Kong lacked creativity as most of them just reported news in the similar manner with the editors distributing different assignments to the reporters, mainly focusing on local news.

Chen said the production of One TV emphasizes on those issues which are not dealt with in other media organizations so as to let their work stay in the memory of the audience.

"We make news in such a new style that it is full of creativity and vibrancy," said Chen. "We do not follow the tradition way."

In the morning when there are not many local news items, One TV may put its focus on the news overseas, such as those issues in Europe and the America, Chen listing out as an example of their routine.

She added that news pieces which had been broadcast the previous night would be rewritten with additional information and they would be included also in the morning in the hopes that news could be made with different angles.

"The world appears the same to all of us," Chen said. "But our production is different from the others."

One TV is a Hong Kong based satellite television station with services launched last year. The company aims at providing fair and objective news reporting that caters for Asia-Pacific audience.
