A writer HU Ching Fang, director, Kwang Hwa Information and Culture Center, attends to the shue yan university’s lecture. She says, “Hong Kong is not a cultural desert, but a city with various culture exchange activities.”

But she says that Hong Kong people didn’t think highly of their local culture, and neglected so many resources, event more, they tag good to foreign culture, and tag bad to local culture.

And she says that Hong Kong people emphasis too much on commercialization, leading to people value book office more than value the art and culture value of movies, which originating from the Tiger Parenting that instill so many wrong opinions to their children, making them think that the aim of doing anything is making money. However, she says that there are only happy or not, no fail or not in the process of artistic creations. And she calls people to follow their heart and enjoy the happiness of artistic creations.

She also says that the expensive property prices in Hong Kong limits artistic creations, where are lack of spaces for non-mainstream creations. And she says the experimental is important, and as an international city, Hong Kong should continue to innovate and expand the development space of artistic creations.

She also encourages young people to play more and interact with different cultures in this era. She believes that art and culture will allow people to enter another time and space, to think about things that they would not pay attention to, and enrich their imagination.

As for the current situation of the media, she says pointing rate is no longer the same. The former South China Morning Post was the most profitable newspaper on the planet. It was making money when it was printed, because there were many listed companies at the time, and every listed company must publish two newspapers for any announcement. The English newspaper at that time only had the South China Morning Post. So the South China Morning Post was very profitable. The media now have difficulty in surviving, and today's traditional newspaper TV stations only have a click rate.
