The Hong Kong Chief Executive Election will take place on 26 March. A member of Legal Election Committee said Hong Kong does not need a dominated chief executive but a compatible one.

Speaking at Shue Yan University's general assembly, the member of Legal Election Committee Stephen Char said “I will vote for John Tsang Chun-wah because of his sense of humor.”

“From Tsang’s behavior, it can see that he has affinity,” he said.

In December 2013, a protester threw an egg at Tsang during a government forum in North Point. Tsang stayed cool and even made light of the incident, with remarks such as “Luckily I’m not wearing a good suit today” and “My doctor recently advised me not to take so many eggs.”

“Tsang can relieve the struggle of Hong Kong, bringing two sides (pan-democracy camp and pro-democracy camp) closer,” he said.

Char said, “Tsang get trust from pro-democracy but he needs to get about 200-300 votes from pan-democracy camp, in order to get enough votes.”

“It is better to have trust on two sides,” he added.

Democracy 300+ said 98% members will vote for Tsang in the election.

The other two chief executive candidates are Carrie Lam Yuet-ngor and Woo Kwok-hing.--145088 2017年3月21日 (二) 22:37 (CST)
