Danny Wong, art director of Sing Tao Group, said the emergence of animated news best illustrates new reading habits of consumers living in fast-paced Hong Kong.

Wong adds that different generations demonstrate diverse needs and routines in the process of receiving information, whilst the current generation easily enjoys unimpeded telecom networking services and used to endue smartphones with the significance as a necessity, the designing of information propagation therefore has to be done by putting all these criteria into considerations.

' Animated news has made the best use of our smartphones in hand, we can see the way how news change in making good use of the possible and easily-accessible channel for its dissemination and it is designed to fit exactly what the market is craving for, ' Wong said.

On the other hand, Wong states that the appearance of parody and political comics have the significance to become more popular in Hong Kong and they denote that the citizen and comic artists are playing their role to be an active audience in responding to the information they perceive.

' Parodies and comics are good ways for people to express themselves, we can observe that some of the newspaper tend to frequently include political comics in their first page. Everything happens for a reason- the practice is welcome by the market, ' said Wong.
