Social media marketing is the trend for companies now because it is free, cheap, and effective. Regardless of the size of the company, all marketing professionals are thinking of ways to put in advertisements on the site without the awareness of readers.


There are near five million netizens in Hong Kong now. Online promotions are playing a bigger role in marketing now than ever before. The vice president of AAStocks.com said that companies have to keep up their pace with the change of technology or otherwise they will lose in the business world.


“There are more and more young people joining the advertisement and marketing section of a company now, because they are familiar with social networking and all the new technology,” said Samuel Lam, the vice president of AAstocks.com, “You will lose the battle if you are even just one step slower than others.”


Revealing the truth of online advertising, Samuel has used the “marketing blogger” as an example. Marketing blogger refers to the user who is in fact the promoter of a company. They evoke discussion on forums and social networking sites to attract more customers. “Starting four years ago, we started to hire marketing bloggers to promote our company on the web. They have created so much discussion about our clients, which helped us to make big money,” said Samuel.
