Hong Kong, 06 Mar – The price level of housing has kept rising sharply in these years. Hong Kong citizens find it difficult to get into the housing market. They mostly hope the developers could resale some kind of “low price house”. Corporate, however, sold high-class accommodation as their main development.

Sino Group Corporate Communications Assistant General Manager, former anchor of TVB Ivan M.W. Yau claimed during his speech in Hong Kong Shue Yan University that listed companies had to take into consideration of the interests of shareholders. The greatest responsibility should not be taking care of the society.

Yau pointed out that each company should have its own responsibility. Listed companies, however, should also give account for the shareholders. He questioned that taking care of different needs should not be the greatest responsibility of one corporate and that action should not also be the healthiest development to the free market.

He refuted the reporter and believed that Sino Group did not abandon the social responsibility but just took what the company should take. After taking, they would give some back to citizens. He said “Sino is taking from citizens but using for citizens. The company will contribute to the society as much as possible.”[How? You state that "The greatest responsibility should not be taking care of the society", and then say "The company will contribute to the society as much as possible." This seems contradictory. What does 'as much as possible' actually mean?]

Yau thought that the selling strategy of the Oceanaire of Cheung Kong Group was legitimate [What is the actual selling strategy?]. He claimed that as the public started to understand their rights, so they would demand more to the corporate and express complaints.

He did not comment the [company he works for is existing hegemony in landed property or not - I have no idea what you are trying to say with this]. He thought that he was individual in the talk. He could not represent the Sino Group to avoid causing any damage on the company.
