Joseph Yu: “One People One Vote” is not difficult

Joseph Yu-shek Cheng, the spokesperson of Alliance for True Democracy, said that it is not difficult to carry out one person one vote but method of nomination was the main concern for the government as it is consisted of technique problem.


Cheng said that it is not difficult to have one people one vote but whether there are real democracy is decided by the Central Government actually. He said we should learn about the nominating system of other countries. ”The international standard of democracy is about whether there are real competitiveness and whether there are really any choices.” He believed the Central Government would approve the right person that we have been chosen as that person must have been gain some fame and credibility to the people in Hong Kong. He mentioned that Mr. Jasper TSANG Yok-sing, the current President of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong has mentioned about that the Central Government should not carry prejudice in order to carry out real democracy and have Universal suffrage. Cheng believed that actually the Central Government would afraid the disappointment of the final consequence.


For the issue of Occupy Central, Cheng said he will take part in it but will not add any comments towards the whole movement. Cheng also added that he is the representative of the Alliance for True Democracy and he denounced that some newspaper has mentioned that he is not the right person to represent his gang, he reaffirmed that he is appropriate to represent 27 people of his gang and fight for democracy continuously if not he would resigned.
