Journalists should know how to control their emotion

By Xavi Cheung

Senior media workers Ivan Yau, said that when journalists facing catastrophic news, they should always being calm and objective, in order to show the reporter's professional judgment.

Ivan Yau recalled the live interview Garley Building fire in1996. Due to site office was sealed; a lot of people were trapped in the building and burned to death alive. “Many bodies were hanging in the window, the charred body everywhere makes me feel very sad. However, as we have to make the live coverage, we must suppress our emotions. "He also said, if the reporter shows emotional excitement, the outlook may affect the accuracy of the reports, as it shows his own judgment.

Besides, because of the influence of media is tremendous, Yau said journalists have to think twice before publishing anything, and have to consider the release of the object and nature so as not to incorrectly relay an erroneous situation. ((decent work...try to beat the deadline next time))
