KK Tsang, the CEO of The Bees Group, came today to Shue Yan University to talk about the

development of the advertising industry. Tsang worked in a worldwide advertising company

for over 20 years has now developed his own company ‘The Bee Group’, a strategic marketing,

communication and business development consultancy.
He said, ‘the advertising industry does

not need any help from the government.’ He thinks a successful creative industry

should be able to survive without any help from the third party.

People commonly think that the ability of youngsters in Hong Kong is not adequate. Tsang

disagree and said ‘I got three companies, and the one which employed the largest amount of

youngsters from the post-80s generation earned the highest profit,’ he claimed although

the average ability of postgraduate may has declined compared to the past generation, but

the top 5% talented postgraduate with good academic results are more competitive than the

elites in the past.

Talking about the difficulties of the industry, he talked about unfairness. He believes

the workers deserve better treatment from their companies. ‘How much effort you paid for

the industry is not equal to the amount you get back,’ he said the profit always goes to

the senior officers instead of the people who are really working for the company and who

did create iconic and awesome advertisements. --115041 2014年2月18日 (二) 20:27 (UTC)
