Only 11% of submission academic journal is allowed to be published and recommended. "Redundancy will kill your paper" Dr. Steve Wallace, the Wallace Academic editing founder, says.

Steve said, the reason why papers were rejected because they often admitted in several reasons. However majorities are admitted in english errors. For example, verb tense, redundancy, passive voice error. He pointed out that it is more suitable to use active voice than passive voice except three situations which is the performer is unknown, irrelevant or obvious; the performer is less important and the recipient is the main topic.

He emphasized that research paper should be short. Try to avoid redundancy sentence. No one interested in reading a very long and complex paper. Therefore, it is better to use short words and the message should be presented directly. Many people who check out the dictionary for a vocabulary, they often use the longer words than the shortest which he is strongly not recommended.

Steve said, it is appropriate to use butterfly words or academic words when writing a paper, however it should be correct. Otherwise, the paper will not be published.

Before, he come to Hong Kong, he spent 12 years in Taiwan for teaching and doing research. He said, he like the people in Taiwan, they are kind. Also he like traveling, he have already travelled 71 countries.
