Lai Man Lok: We believe in equality

Oscar, Lai Man Lok, the spokesperson of Scholarism, said that the group is not blindly opposing government policies, they also give some suggestion on political reform rationally.

At a university assembly, Lai noted that the aim of Scholarism is to fight for universal suffrage, because Hong Kong people should have the equal right to vote and to be voted in Chief Executive Election. "We believe everyone can enjoy the equality of suffrage," he added. He also explained that they have doubt about the details of Occupy Central, so Scholarism may not participate in it.

When being asked about the incident in flag raising ceremony, Lai said that they are not agitated, "We just stood there quietly and take no action, but the security guides pull us away mandatory." Lai pointed out that Scholarism do not want to divide the society or cause turmoil.

Scholarism is a student organization, which is formed by a group of secondary students in 2011. Its' best-known movement is to against the national education.--115035 2013年10月15日 (二) 19:16 (UTC)
