Learning English by Watching Movies
The senior translator of movies and TV drama series, Mr Yiu Po Kwong, suggested learning English by watching English movies and dramas in the seminar of Hong Kong Shue Yan University yesterday.
He pointed out the condition of the Hong Kong students nowadays, there are a lot of students found that learning English is a difficult, it is because they found that the terms and words are difficult to them.
To solve the problem, Yiu suggested students can learn English by watching English movies and Dramas. “We can learn better English from the English movies, it is because the vocabularies and the word forms in the movies are traditional and easily to understand,” said Yiu Po Kwong.
Yiu Po Kwong is got over 20 years’ experiences on the translator of movies and TV drama series. As his experiences, he proposed that watching English movies is the easiest and useful way in learning better English.
He also proposed that the confidence is the important part to learn English. Yiu suggested that students should try more on speaking English with their confidence. “Students should practice their English more, and actively, it can help their improvement.” said Yiu.
