(Did she really use the word "revolution"? No, I don't think so. Even you didn't quote her as saying the word but by implying that she did is also not acceptable because it is a very sensitive word. Throughout your report, you haven't given us any reason why the Occupy movement should devise an exit strategy other than it can't achieve genuine universal suffrage. You should at least explain in details how people's livelihood get affected, how shop owners get affected, how students get affected…etc and etc and how it risks losing the support of the public.)

Julia Leung Fung-yee, former Under Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury said, leaders of Umbrella Movement are responsible for thinking of exit strategy.

Umbrella Movement, calling for greater democracy in political reform, has entered its 17th day. Leung agreed that Umbrella Movement has made some contributions to Hong Kong, embedding the idea of democracy in the next generation.

Leung agreed that what protesters doing is to make a difference. However, she pointed out that it is impossible to fight for full democracy in one single movement. “It may take a few generations to strive for democracy,” she said.

Leung said that if the movement keeps going on, democracy in Hong Kong may even step backward as the Central government has no confidence on Hongkongers. “It is high time leaders of Umbrella Movement thought of exit strategy,” she said.

Leung explained that how protesters exit the movement would greatly affect the development of Hong Kong. She pointed out that leaders of Umbrella Movement should bear the responsibilities of setting up exit strategy at this turning point as they have the power to rally supporters.
