The former Chief Secretary Henry Tang Ying-yen was blamed by the public for his mistake in his romantic life a few weeks ago. Experienced professional journalist and editor professor Leung Tin Wai criticized Tang for being totally empty in political wisdom as he failed to handle the crisis well.

Esme Lau, the Public Affairs Manager of Power Assets Holdings Limited, was asked about Tang’s romance crisis in a seminar of public relation management held yesterday [Held where?]. She refused to comment on Tang’s reaction and risk management skills.

However, her answer was faced by confrontation from Professor Leung Tin Wai, Head of the Department of Journalism and Communications of Hong Kong Shue Yan University. Leung object to Lau’s opinion. He criticized Tang and said he did a bad job in handling risk and dealing with the media. “He should have learnt from President Clinton and Edmund Ho Hau-wah,” he said.

Both Clinton and Ho suffered from romance crises. Clinton was involved in a sexual scandal with the intern Lewinsky of theWhite House. Ho was the former Chief Executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region.

“Tang is not qualified to be the next Chief Executive of Hong Kong,” Leung said. Lau didn’t response directly but she explained that the rating of the public would show the truth.
