The incident of China government officer Bo Xilai has become a controversial topic recently. Liu Wei Zhong, the chief editor of Bauhinia Magazine, refused to criticize on this hot topic at Shue Yan University yesterday.

Liu said, “the incident of Bo Xilai is a sensitive topic in society. As there are different sources, I don’t know which saying is real and believable. But it’s true that the democracy of China is changing.”

After encountering several political incidents, China’s democracy improved a lot. Liu pointed out Protests of Wukan as an example, saying that its citizens had their rights to select the village head.

Bauhinia Magazine is a left-sided magazine in Hong Kong. It is said that the magazine was a propaganda that the Central government used in Hong Kong. Liu did not answer the question. He said, ” there are different issues in society we should focus and investigate, like the transit mum etc. At the same time, we help our readers to understand more about the Central government’s policy and background.”

He believed that he could get many precise information from mainland as he had many friends living in Beijing, which could help Bauhinia Magazine to build up its credibility and image.
