However, the use of specialized radio is essential to receive the broadcasting and the price of one radio costs at least hundred dollars. Some questions about the possibilities in promoting this new channel to people especially elderly.

In order to overcome this huddle, Loh Chan stated that “Distribution is something we need to consider about, there are many charities willing to pay part of the money of radio and our company can afford some, so that we can use a cheaper price to sell the radio to the elderly, and even we give it free.”

Due to the technological advancement in recent years, Loh Chan estimates that there are more than one hundred thousand people who are older than sixty-five years old in Hong Kong. After twenty years, one out four people will be elderly.

Since the existing programs related to elderly was not enough. It shows that elderly will be a favorable target audience in the industry of Digital Audio Broadcasting. Loh Chan said “we should change our mindset.”
