Lai Man Cheuk, a senior media creator, came to Shue Yan University to talk about the sense of crisis and humor yesterday. He said that minimizing the loss is the most effective way to save crisis. In his opinion, humor is the most difficult mode of thinking in the world.

“There are some integrity issues in this year, so the candidates have to save the crisis.” Said Lai Man Cheuk. When he told us about his first experience, he said:”My first job is to write jokes in the TV program. Through these experiences, I suddenly find I am keen and sharp in thinking. I can think out some creative ideas while I reading the jokes.” So he pointed out that humor is connected to creation.

“Crisis is equal to loss.” he said. “Only minimizing the loss can save crisis. Saving crisis should pay.” He commented that there is no absolutely win and lose, lose the least is to win.

Some people were doubt with Henry Tang Ying Yen, Lai Man Cheuk said: “He met some crisis in the election and the way to save is bad. But we cannot blame him. Because it’s a new thing in Hong Kong, we are in the primary phase in politics. It’s unavoidable to do something wrong.”

CTI deprived some people of TVB. He said there are only 5% people have left and he thought it is good for TVB and they will train more elite.

He gave the example show women in all age groups like the men with sense of humor. He emphasized that humor is the most difficult mode of thinking in the world.

He was averse to some vulgar TV program, but he said: “This is the most direct way to seize audience.”
