Eight years ago, nineteen year-old, William Chan, had

an accident in United Kingdom and lost all his memory. “The

first thing I think of is my future.”

“When I woke up, I did not know I lost my memory. I found out

the truth 3 days later,” William said. “I need to learn everything

from the start and the biggest problem was definition.” “I want

to know who am I.”

William changed his value after the accident. “My brother told

me I was a very active person and want to be a successful man

which is be a doctor and earn more money.” I came back to Hong

Kong and Hong Kong faced a serious hygienic crisis-SARS.

“My parents (are worked) in medical field. I saw their effort in that

hard period. I have changed the definition of success and tried to

do more for the public welfare.” “I think the hardest thing is learning

the sacrifice spirit. It is not easy to do so.”

He thinks Hong Kong teenagers need to be more confident. He

pointed out that the conflict between 80’s and the government

can be solved by communication. “Government should listen more

and talk to the young people.” ((showing some slight improvement...better job trying to convey your message))
