Low Media Quality Lower Hong Kong Quality

In the recent years, New York, London and Hong Kong have great performance at the region of financial. A new glossary “Newlonkong” appears to praise these three cities. However, Senior Financial Reporter Law Yi Ping says that although Hong Kong has many financial talented persons, Hong Kong still cannot compare to New York and London because the media quality is relatively low.

Law explains that Hong Kong media has been affected by Apple Daily. Most of the media has been “applization” so that they always report entertainment news but lacks serious and large influence news. Moreover, the quality of financial news has also been reduced. Law says “it is an ashamed matter.”

Law mentions that when “Quibble” is successful, all the others would follow. It also lowers the media quality.

To solve this problem, Law thinks that the only way is to cooperate with Mainland Media. “The quality on Hong Kong media can be increased and well developed when they cooperate with Mainland Media.” says Law. She explains the China market and the development space is large.
