Sharp Daily, the free newspaper published by Next Media Ltd. in Hong Kong, raises controversial controversy with its pornography elements. Some secondary schools have banned students from bringing Sharp Daily into the campus. Cheung Kim-hung, the chief editor of Apple Daily and Sharp Daily said there are fewer sexual materials in Sharp Daily.

“I agree that Apple Daily has more issues about indecorum, rape, and horrible car accidents than other traditional newspapers,” said Cheung. He thought that it is not selling pornography.

In Sharp Daily, there is a special column of pornographic stories written by a famous writer. The sexual situations written were very vivid when the newspaper first launched, but after there were voices from the society that putting such pornographic story in a free newspaper is not an appropriate action of a mass media, the sexual situation in the story has been reduced.

Cheung said, “When mass media sends out information, readers are monitoring that information.” It is the reason why the sexual materials in Sharp Daily have decreased.

[Palpable refers to the sense of touch. Something that is palpable can be felt, physically, or almost felt. Also, 'palpably' is an adjective, and thus needs an object. You can not say something was written palpably, but you can say "the pornography was palpably erotic", meaning one could almost feel the eroticism.]

[Good article.]
