With the launch of Digital Broadcasting Corporation's seven channels, CEO Loh Chan said the company would focus on content as a way to capture a bigger audience.


DBC is planning to distribute 20,000 digital radios in every taxi before year end, Chan said, which will cost around $20million. Chan is confident with this act, as these gadgets do not only include digital channels, but also traditional FM channels.


Being asked how can the channel compete with other tradition channels, Chan said they have different distribution with other channels, while others have different target audience with them, they will focus on the current aging population and open up new market for them.


The former DBC host Albert Cheng has also set up D100, an internet radio, which also ranked highly among the net, Chan said, with the current technological development, publics no longer listen radio programs through radio, but by other means of portable devices such as computers and phones. To survive in the such competitive market, Chan remarks, content is always the king, and only by the compete in content, can the corporate survives. --115055 2013年9月18日 (三) 01:34 (UTC)
