MoJo Will Lead a Trend of Reporting News

Reporter/Mandy Lam --095032 2012年4月3日 (二) 22:45 (UTC)

“The simplest technology is the greatest tool,” said Stephen Quinn, the digital development editor of South China Morning Post yesterday. He predicts that mobile journalism (MoJo) will be the mainstream to simpl(y-use verb) news reporting and speed up efficiency. (good opening)

With the popularity of smartphone, (it-need a more tangible subject, "with the popularity.." is not, unless you remove the "with" and the "it") brings convenience to people. Everyone can use their smartphone to record a short news video. Quinn said that only if people’s smartphone can connect to the WIFI, they can upload what they capture, and deliver it instantly (at Hong Kong Shue Yan University-too far from said, so meaning is ambiguous).

Quinn showed a MoJo video about a person called (Harmed?-Ahmed?) that used his smartphone recording an incident that a man died, and uploaded to Youtube. And He recorded students’ reaction through his smartphone in order to demonstrate how instant of mobile journalism.

However, many people questioned the news quality when using smartphone to report. Quinn (said understood?) people’s concern and thinks journalists know their role, so he won’t be worried about it. He believes that journalists will comply with their professional conducts while reporting news.

Quinn predicts the future of MoJo that technology will get faster and better, and (the trend that the design of tools will be easy to use in order to save more time of reporting.-again subject missing in clause-edit)

“The simplest technology is the greatest tool,” said Stephen Quinn, the digital development editor of South China Morning Post yesterday. He predicts that mobile journalism (MoJo) will be the mainstream to simlify news reporting and speed up efficiency.

With the popularity of smartphone, smartphone brings convenience to people. Everyone can use their smartphone to record a short news video. Quinn said that only if people’s smartphone can connect to the WIFI, they can upload what they capture, and deliver it instantly.

Quinn showed a MoJo video about a person called Ahmed that used his smartphone recording an incident that a man died, and uploaded to Youtube. And He recorded students’ reaction through his smartphone in order to demonstrate how instant of mobile journalism.

However, many people questioned the news quality when using smartphone to report. Quinn understood people’s concern and thinks journalists know their role, so he won’t be worried about it. He believes that journalists will comply with their professional conducts while reporting news.

Quinn predicts the future of MoJo that technology will get faster and better, and the trend of MoJo that the designs of tools will be easy to use in order to save more time of reporting.

Some corrections missing, any questions?
