MoJo is a new way to use mobile phones in news reporting. Stephen Quinn, the Digital Development Editor of South China Morning Post, said Mojo enables journalists to do reporting more efficiently.

“Smart phone allows everyone to be reporters,” Quinn said, “with the help of Mojo, professional journalists can give the useful information to the audience in an efficient way. Mojo can take photos, record voice, make videos and type using a simply smart phone.”

The popularity of smart phones was the leading reason for the raise of mobile journalism. “Everyone could be a source. MoJo makes everyone be a reporter. Anyone can use Mojo to edit the news with some pictures and send it to the website,” Quinn said, “Actually, Mojo stands for the mobile journalism.”

“The importance of journalism is that it really helps citizen in the society, and give the useful information they can use to make decisions in their life. ” Quinn said. He gave some examples that if people voted a local council election, they needed information from the media to help make the decision. ((tell the reader what Mojo means earlier in the piece...otherwise, not too shabby))
