Mr. Ru-deng explained functions of The Liaison Office

The Liaison Office has played an important role to linking the relationship between mainland and HKSAR throughout 60 years.

Mr. Ru-deng Wang, the director assistant of the Liaison Office has come to Hong Kong Shue Yan University yesterday to introduce the functions of the Liaison Office. It announced information to public in the past, and now, there are five more functions, communicating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and garrison in Hong Kong, communicating and assisting the management of Mainland Company which set up in Hong Kong, enhancing the relationship between HKSAR and mainland, reporting opinions from Hong Kong, and settling issues about Tai-wan also other matter that is about the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China.

Mr. Ru says, “When Hong Konger occurs accident when aboard and needs help, Hong Kong Government could call commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Liaison Office, sending ambassador to give a helping hand.”
