The Beijing government has always been forbidding reporters reporting some sensitive or negative topics in mainland, editor-at-large of South China Morning Post; Chris Yeung Kin-hang said it afraid reporters discover bad things.


With regard to a SCMP’s photographer was rejected to enter Macau two months ago, Chris said all reporters had to apply a press card when reporting in other country, but he could not explain why the Macau government rejected his immigration, “it is understand that Apple Daily cannot enter to mainland, but we are not Apple Daily.”


Chris said Hong Kong had already bred up some politicians before return to China, but the election system is proportional representation and some new politicians cannot perform themselves easily. He estimated Hong Kong may have a new leader in 2017 or 2020 universal suffrage.


In former days some legislators said foul language inside Legislative Council, Chris thought that the report of foul language can attract teenager’s attention to government policies, discussing Council culture, which is benefit to the development of local politics.
