(I think it should be Chen Jane, not Jane CHAN as you have written. If "they would report real news without any burdens", why then "they would not challenge the mainland regime"? Are you suggesting that news challenging the Beijing regime is not real news? One TV is not setting up "news stations at several Asian cities" but it plans to set up bureaus in those cities.)

Jane Chan, the channel director and news director of One TV, said they would not challenge the mainland regime, but they would no hesitate to report social reality and truth.

She said they would report real news without any burdens, as they were overseas media from China, for example, they would cover Hong Kong reporters were beaten in Beijing, in order to create a better interviewing environment for the reporters and hope China going a right direction.

One TV, the satellite TV company, will launch in this summer which based in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong. She said the investment was mainly from an international foundation and mainland investors.

"We would set up news stations at several Asian cities, including Tokyo, Singapore, Taipei and Shanghai, to report first-hand news from Asia," Chan said.

Jane Chan was born in Shanghai but live in Hong Kong for fourteen years. She worked as a programme director and DJ of RTHK Putonghua station from 1999 to 2013 before jumping to One TV.
