(You quoted Ngai as saying the printed media is still rosy despite the naysayers predicting its demise due to competition from internet and other new media. But where is the proof of this? You didn't cite any figure or concrete evidence. Ngai has. He said no newspaper was folded in the last 15 years and advertisers have actually increased their newspapers budgets slightly and even Sing Pao's circulation has increased 5% last year. You need to show numbers and figures to prove your point.)

Many judge that newspaper is a sunset industry. The Chief Editor of Sing Pao Daily News Ngai Kai Kwong said in HKSYU today that newspaper is not a sunset industry as it still has many supports.

“I don’t worry about the future of newspaper industry,” he said. “As reading newspapers is becoming a habit of Hong Kong citizens.” He also said that some mainland people like buying newspapers in Hong Kong as it can give them much more information than which from mainland.

“Also, advertisers are willing to pay for advertisement in newspaper,” he said. “The capital spent by advertisers in newspaper is increasing. It means that newspaper is still a good choice for advertisement.”

“Newspapers may change in ownership or other perspective, but it is definitely not a sunset industry,” he said.
