The government has just launched its final budget, which aroused a lot of public concern. Now TV senior financial commentator Chiu Sin Chun was present in Shue Yan University and said” the budget has no direction”. He thinks the Hong Kong Government is not helping Hong Kong wholeheartedly, that is why its policy to allow the hegemony of real estate.

Losing direction in the budget Chiu said the economic policy of Hong Kong government does not have a clear goal now. He think the Hong Kong Government is too conservative, lack of long-term objectives and policies, only know how to cut its coat according to its cloth, no creativity and contributions; no mention in the budget for public housing estates and new housing, nor assist in scientific research and development, but there are only some paltry charity, such as tax rebate. He use inflation-linked bonds as an example to accuse that the Government only put money in the Treasury, what a great waste of money instead of using it in other purposes. He thinks the Government should have more try on investing in scientific research and human resources.
