(Your lead is anemic, lacks zing. "Cannot tell if the movement is successful or otherwise" is not a lead that would attract readers to read on. Who is CY? The movement is at a critical juncture, and the term "alarm stage" is not really appropriate. Your report is actually like a summary of what Leung said at the assembly. But news is NOT a summary. As a reporter, you choose the meat of the story and elaborate on it and relay it to your readers.)

Julia Leung Fung-yee, the former Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, said the Occupy Central protest movement cannot be defined as failed or not until the last moment.

The Occupy Central protest movement is launched already for 16 days. Protesters are asking Beijing to drop its restrictive framework on Hong Kong's electoral reform, CY to resign and to restart the 5 steps of the political reform. Julia believed that the Occupy Central protest movement is facing the most critical stage now. She said, the result of the movement will be definitely related to how the movement exits. And it will totally affect the social and economic environment in Hong Kong.

She said, the leaders of the Scholarism, a Hong Kong student activist group, could not expect and control how the campaign runs now and afterwards. She believed that they are now having more understanding about being a leader of thousands of people, like the position of the government. And she is happy to see that the student organizers are likely to bear the responsibility of this situation now. But she stated that, the movement should have its own suitable exit way.

Julia recapped that Hong Kong people were described as a bird living in a birdcage. And now taking part in the Occupy protests and fighting for the democracy, Hong Kong citizens are going to enlarge the birdcage. However, she remains pessimistic about this. She claimed that democratic revolution does not lie in violence and few days’ passion, but the everlasting hard work or even more than one generation.

The Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying attended an interview with local station TVB on last Sunday. The Hong Kong Journalists Association, Next Media Trade Union, RTHK Programme Staff Union and Ming Pao Staff Association raised strong objections to CY Leung, the Chief Executive, selectively attending this interview to the only one news organisation. Julia claimed that she will never suggest Leung to do this. Building trust between press and government needs to be fair. Each news organization should acquire the equal chance to take interview with government officials.
