By Mandy Lam --095032 2011年10月18日 (二) 23:46 (UTC)

Henry Tang, the former Chief Secretary for Administration, responded his sex scandal as “a lack of personal feelings”, arousing echo in society. A PR practitioner said, “I accept his explanation, since he has done what he needs to do.”

The probable Chief Executive Election candidate Henry Tang had been muckraking about fooling around with other woman. He made public statement and confessed that he missed on personal feelings, and deeply dissociation.

No Effects to Tang’s perception

“He has admitted and explained the scandal to address the public’s doubts,” said Esme Lau, the Public Affairs Manager of Power Assets Holdings Ltd., “his wife has forgiven his fault.” She added that as a citizen, “his explanation is enough for me, and it didn’t influence my perception of him.”

Lau thought that “there’s nothing for him to add”, now keeping silent in front of the media is always smart. Even people asked for more details, Tang didn’t intend to confess all. Hence, she said, “I accept his past and explanation.”

No Qualification to be the Chief Executive

However, Leung Tin-wai, Head of Journalism and Mass Communication Department of Hong Kong Shue Yan University, stressed, “Tang Ying-yen isn’t qualified to be the Chief Executive.”

Leung pointed out that Tang couldn’t be compared with Ho Hau-wah, the former Chief Executive of Macau, and Bill Clinton, the former President of the USA. Both of them also suffered the sex scandal. Yet, they could handle in proper way to let people stop criticizing. “Actually, Tang totally doesn’t know how to deal with the scandal. He lacks a political mind,” said Leung.
