PR officers need to calculate?updated

One of the Chief Executive contenders Henry Tang (incurred? use a different verb) in an alleged extramarital affair with a married woman and a scandal over a basement built illegally (at-change preposition) his wife's property. The exposure of scandal made his satisfaction rate drop(ped-still current, so keep in present tense) and face(d) a public affairs crisis. (good opening)

To tackle a public affairs crisis, a media specialist Lai Man Cheuk said the ultimate solution (of-switch preposition) a crisis is to minimize the loss. “We do not need to be the winner of the incident but remember to minimize the loss.” Lai said.

From the perspective of public relations, to solve the public relations crisis, it is important for public relations officers to calculate the “actual” and “emotional” values. The actual value is the valuation in terms of money but emotional value is the worthiness in terms of brand image. “A tactic to use emotional value is important as to re-build the public images for the incidents”.

Not only by increasing the public image, Lai said the use of the game theory is also significant in dealing public relation crisis. From the game theory, the participants need to find out the way to win the foe without much losses . “The ultimate “winner” of the game does not need to win the most but lose the least things, said Lai. To solve the problem, calculating the values and finding the way to minimize loss will (help) defeat others.

Good work, this story is one of the few that describes the context behind the values. Keep up the good work!
