HONG KONG, Dec. 13 –To protect the freedom of press is an important value in Hong Kong. A senior journalist who works for Reuters said Hong Kong’s media is lucky to have (press freedom-reverse, had it right before it is freedom of press) while China’s media is under (monitor-be as specific as possible, what monitor?).

James Pomfret, South China Correspondent of Reuters, was invited to the general assembly of Journalism & Communication Department at Hong Kong Shue Yan University this afternoon.

“Hong Kong’s freedom of press is somehow amazing. It is greater than many countries in the world,” said Pomfret. He explained, with the protection of law, Hong Kong’s media can write about any topic if they want. Hong Kong people should treasure their freedom very much.

However, the situation of China’s media is totally different. As Pomfret said, China’s media don’t have the freedom of reporting, especially when they want to do investigation reporting. “I had seen journalists being punched, kicked, or being imprisoned during their investigation in China,” said Pomfret.

"Fighting for the truth is always not easy but we must (x)." No matter how much pressure that a reporter faces, Pomfret reminded reporters that they should never give up what they believe in. When facing the strike from the government, reporters should be careful and smart enough to find ways to get rid of the government's monitoring.

A few questions: 1) What is the purpose of this article?Angle? 2) How is the title related to this purpose?

3) Does the article meet the target? (more needs to be said about the freedom of the press, or on the lack of it in China, in which case the title would have to change)
