Produce attractive variety shows by learning from Mainland China’s

The quality of Local TV program is decreasing because of production cost (x reduc(ing)). In the meanwhile, the variety programs in China are developing rapidly. Lai Chuen Ho, Ng Yu and Wong He thought Hong Kong TV program producers should learn how to produce creative and attractive program from Mainland China’s variety shows.


HNTV, the top of the variety programs in China, has produced popular programs like “Happy Camp”. It (has been-wrong helping verb) made famous since it launched in China. Many famous artists are invited to share their stories in “Happy Camp”.


However, “There are few high quality variety programs in Hong Kong, Ng Yu said, the chief executive officer of Emperor Entertainment Group Limited. It is because local TV companies are restricted by many problems like privacy and copyright.


Also, there are strong producing team and many resources in HNTV. “HNTV used to spend 1.2 million to invite a super star to attend the program,” (Carrie Lam said, an artist). She though HNTV has enormous capability to invite famous artists with first-class cabin and five-star hotel.


She also though the variety shows in China are more exquisite and interesting than Hong Kong. Therefore, Hong Kong TV program producers should learn from Mainland China’s variety shows.
