"Protection and development are the coin of two sides"

The issue of environmental protection and town planning are both important, we can not just focus on one aspect and neglect the other. Mr. Edward Yau Tang-wah, the JP Secretary for the Environmental Protection Department said that during an assembly. 

Yau pointed out that the environmental protection and town planning is often regarded as mutually antagonistic in the past. In fact, they just like the two sides of a coin that is impossible to have a smooth roiling if the coin is tilt to one side. In these recent years, environmental protection has become a major trend. "Some commercial cooperate have stated to change the concept of the environmental protection, since having sponsorship of environmental protection events can exchange goodwill and promote their sales.

Yau hope that everyone can put more effort on the environmental protection. In these recent years, Environmental Protection Department has strengthened the propaganda in order to increase community awareness. However, Yau said that it is meaningless if the public don't concern on this issue.
