RADIO HOST TEASED HIRING STARS FOR D.A.B. FOOLISH

By Anthony Wong

HKSYU, OCT 11-Lam Chiu-wing, a radio programme host from RTHK, teased investors of Digital Audio Broadcasting (D.A.B.) for spending too much money on hiring idiotic stars.

Digital Broadcasting Corporation (D.B.C.), the first D.A.B. firm, will officially launch all of its seven channels by the end of this year. Albert Cheng, the chairman of the D.B.C., has been hiring numerous experienced hosts (to gain attention to?) the new broadcasting format.

Lam, however, doesn’t think this is a wise decision.

‘Albert is too idiotic,’ teased Lam, ‘I don’t think spending a lot on hiring broadcasting stars is worthy. Most of these so-called stars are outdated already.’

Lam sees finding talents from the internet as a smart move.

‘This is the new era of internet. Talented presenters can be easily dug out through the Web,’ Lam said.

‘Ming Jai, the famous local Vlogger, for instance, is a much better choice. Not only has he got good presentation skills and appearance, but he also has great editing sense,’ added Lam.

Ming Jai’s own YouTube channel, in fact, has over 50,000 subscriptions and uploaded numerous videos with over one million hits. As a result, he has been invited to provide content for goyeah.com, an online video channel.

(Great job! Your article title/angle was fully supported by your quotes and facts, perhaps you could use precise figures for the amount of money spent by DBC to hire experienced hosts, and name a few, so the reader can decide whether they are outdated or not.)
