Under the haze of coronavirus outbreak, South Korean has been testing for the diseases in a fast way with the help of Korean Biotech Companies like Seegene, which invented innovate coronavirus testing kits under 3 weeks.

Since the massive coronavirus outbreak in February, South Korean has already tested more than 220,000 people with the help of Seegene’s drive through testing facilities and new artificial intelligence research techniques, according to CNN.

"When we started, we did not expect either this kind of the pandemic outbreak to happen in Korea and nobody expected at all," said Chun Jong-yoon, the Founder & CEO of Seegene.

Chun said he had first instructed his researchers to invent a new test for coronavirus and then the deadly spread of the virus has already been across China.

Chun and his team members came up with a test in less than two weeks and immediately received the fast-tracked approval of the new coronavirus test kit by the Korean government in less than a month.

The Korean molecular microbiologists worked without having the sample of the coronavirus that they could only rely on the genetic blueprint which is released by the World Health Organization and Health Officials in China.

The scientists of Seegene had to take those coronavirus genes in future samples from the patients.

There are more pressure than usual because the infected cases of coronavirus are rapidly spreading into our countries, said Lee Dae-hoon, the Executive Director of Seegene.

"Yeah, just hearing the news from China, we thought it will be impacted on the Korean peninsula, so we thought that there is an emergency cases," said Lee.

The six testing vials which are invented by Seegene can be tested on 100 patients for coronavirus and completed in just four hours.

In order to produce more testing kits, Seegene’s staff is working overtime, even the drafting scientists with the PHD have to work together on the assembly line.

Noh Si-won, the Executive Director of Corporate Strategy of Seegene said there are crazy demands of testing kits not only from domestic market but also from the overseas market.

Seegene which was established in 2000 in Seoul, South Korea is a biopharmaceutical company that mainly engaged in the development of molecular diagnostic reagents which identified dozens of different kinds of diseases.
