The road from a reporter to a managing director, Leung Kwok Tung believes one must set his goals in order to have a brilliant life.

Mr Leung Kwok Tung, Managing director of an international company, who was just a reporter of newspaper corporations after graduation. After that, he had been involved for chemical works. A few years later, he started an enterprise and being a managing director. “The key to success is to recognize your goal and put effort to achieve it.” He said.

In the past 30 years, Leung’s career was not smooth going all the time. However, he is optimistic to the future. “Success and failure are inevitable in our life. All we can do is to learn from the past.” He explained.

Leung pointed out that the best way to learn from the past is to read history books. Although he jested at himself that he is afraid of doing so.

“Everyone has a book. The content of the book is all about his life. So we need to write it page by page, day by day.” Leung encouraged students read more books to make the content of their own books meaningful.

Besides, Leung described life is like a fight. “A life is to struggle everyday. We don’t need to be afraid, all we need to do is to learn, learn how to solve problems, learn how to improve our life.” He said.

The first two goals of Leung have been achieved in early years, which are career and family. “The last goal is to retire before 60. Luckily, it is achieved when I was 50.” He joked.

“Try your best in every work. Do insist but not being stubborn.” Leung believes success is not too far.
