Reporter should keep their emotions calm

Former TVB anchor Ivan Yau said that reporters should control their emotions even if the accidents are so serious or shocking to them ,because they are professional and if they have any special emotions in front of the camera , the audience will be affected a lot. The industry of the media would be affected too.


Garley Building fire accident is the most memorable thing for Ivan Yau. He said that the memory was still fresh in his mind.'Many firemen are searching for alive and dead bodies lying on the floor. It shocked me',Yau said. He said that he was really upset when he reported that incident,but he tried to control himself from being cried. He wanted to keep the professional image in front of all Hong Kong audience. 'Media is a professional job, we cannot let our emotion to affect the reporting.'Yau said .

Yau emphasized that the reporters have to be accurate to deliver message to the readers because content is the most important things.He thought that the in this era the competiton is so big and media itself has to be careful
