“Students in the press group need to take control of personal emotions and behavior ((as reporter is a professional)).” Ivan Yau Man-wah, a former TVB reporter, said. ((incorrect structure...revise))

Yau said the reporter summarize 10 years of his career, the most memorable is to report some disaster news, for example, the Garley Building fire occurred ten more years ago.

“This news was very shocking at that moment, because it involved a large number of people were killed and hurt. When I was in the scene, I felt very sad. At that time, I saw a lot of injured people. In addition, I also saw some of the bodies hanging in the window frames.” He said.

“However, as a reporter, you need to know how to control your personal feelings, to avoid the environmental impact you at that time. You never see a professional reporter will cry or laugh, when he or she is reporting a news because this is unprofessional.” Yau said.

He said that reporters should control their behavior in the Internet too. “In my opinion, reporters should not post their personal opinions in some social networking sites, such as WeiBo, Facebook and Twitter as there are so many people keep checking you,” he said.
