Audrey Eu said she will not against the revised of rule of procedure and thought that it may not be an effective way to stop foul language in the Legislative Council.

In former days the President of the Legislative Council, Mr. Jasper Tsang Yok-sing said it is necessary to revise the rule of procedure for the sake of forbidding legislators said foul language in the Council.

The Leader of Civil Party and legislator Audrey Eu Yuet-mee came to an university and said “the comment from the society to the Legislative Council is getting lower and lower, and it raises the alarm to the Council.” She maintained that the main duty of a legislator is monitoring the government rather that monitoring each other legislator.

“Even though we revise the rule of procedure, it may not be an effective way to stop saying foul language. The Legislative Council will use more time to discuss which a foul language is, and it is wasting time.” Audrey hoped all legislators will concentrate the discussion on the Budget.

Audrey said the Civil Party is the first Party to bring up the idea of “ruling party”, and she alleged the Beijing government did not encourage the development of party.

“Beijing government does not send anyone to communicate in the Legislative Council, it just sends someone to contact with single legislator non-officially, and up till now, it does not have any development in non-official communication.” Audrey said.
