As the wars and fires crashed thousands people’s home in the Middle East, UNHCR started a humanitarian scheme named “Regional Refugee and Resilience Plan” (3RP). It aims on working in partnerships with different humanitarian organizations and help strengthen local humanitarian schemes.

Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, shortly named as ISIS, rapidly controlled many places around Middle East; their fundamentalism requires everyone to have truly belief on Islam and Allâh. Their fight with Shia caused displacement to many citizens from the Middle East who become refugees and then exile to vicinal countries. Lack of shelters and foods, millions of refugees are living in an unacceptable situation. Maggie Chum, Communication Officer from UNHCR Sub-Office Hong Kong said they launched 3RP aim at addressing refugee protection and humanitarian needs, at the same time, they help to development communities that able to accommodate such an amount of refugees. She claimed that it is not possible for them to maintain a long-term assistance, so, they helped to train local aid workers and develop working plan for those vicinal countries in order to strengthen their capability on attending refugees.
