(Your lead is simply not sharp and not focused. It said something about police refusing the Scholarism to participate in the flag raising ceremony and it said something about Scholarism is not an aggressive group and it also said something about departments or parties involved so far have not said anything regarding something which I can't actually make out what that something is. It is totally confusing. I have tried to rewrite your lead as follows: "The spokesperson of Scholarism Oscar Lai said today that the police has yet to explain why some of its members were rudely shoved off from the flag raising ceremony even they were just standing there and keeping silent in a peaceful protest to show their discontent. I think it is a better than yours.)

We have asked for response from the Police about our members being refused to participate in the Flag-raising Ceremony on the National Day.”Lai Man Lok, Oscar, the Spokesperson of Scholarism said they were not being aggressive in any actions and so far they had received nothing from any of the parties or departments.

No explanation from member being expelled

Oscar Lai claimed that Scholarism should be considered as a civil formed organization and they were involved into some critical issues in the society. Some of the Scholarism’s members were expelled from the ceremony recently. Lai said that they had been using different methods to find out who the people were and which parties should be responsible say the Police or the security guards from the Conventional and Exhibition Centre. They asked for explanation and the definition of the “invited party” but so far there was no response via e-mail or fax or any ways.

Regulations are bind by the Committee

Scholarism had decided to put around 60 to 70% of the resources into the political reformation. For the reason of distribution, Lai mentioned that it does not mean they are not concern about other issues of the society. The political reformation, the universal suffrage is the main concept which can affect our life. Comparing with the Hong Kong Federation of Students, Scholarism had the fewer experience and less professional, so they tend not to involved in that field.

As for the funding, Lai said that they received from the donators who have set no rules and demands for them only. It was a bit different from the “the Occupy Central with love and peace”, which the donators can set the money to use in D-day only or so on. Lai added that once the Scholarism was dismissed, the fund will donate to the charity organization.
