Scott Robinson

Scott Robinson began his career as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State in 2003. His most recent assignment was as the Cultural Affairs Officer and Director of the American Cultural Center at the American Institute in Taiwan. Scott's previous postings include Chennai, India and Beijing, China. He also studied Mandarin Chinese at the Department of State's Chinese Language and Area Studies School.

Before joining the Foreign Service, Scott was a corporate legal assistant at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City. Prior to that, he enjoyed a career as a professional actor, including stage productions at the La Jolla Playhouse and the Utah Shakespearean Festival. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, San Diego. He speaks German, French and Mandarin Chinese.

A native of Santa Monica, California, Scott is married to Nina Robinson, who is also a Foreign Service Officer. They are the proud parents of two sons: Jack (age 5) and Ashton (age 2).
