“Although the starting point of mainland China is later than that in Hong Kong, what you can see is that the TV show in China is better than what we have here,” said Ng Yu, a senior journalist in Hong Kong.

In the 80s, the TV programs produced by Hong Kong w(as-plural) claimed to be the best and the most popular ones among Asia. Televisions from all over the world needed to buy the copyrights of those programs and showed (pronoun missing) in their own channels in order to catch more attention from audience. However, nowadays, the situations ha(ve) (*been-erase, this implies you will say by whom it has been changed in same sentence) changed. The TV programs created by China contain a higher quality which Hong Kong can’t even catch up (to) (their standard-omit). Super Girl singing contest is one of the most popular variety shows in China. The champions of every series become famous stars and attract lots of fans.

“The production teams of the variety show in China always prepare a lot before the show starts,” Ng said. Before each variety show starts, both the guests and the production team will have serious rehearsals, no matter who their guests are, everyone needs to obey the rules and arrive at least one night earlier. He thinks that the (succeed-use noun form) of a TV program (re(p)ly-conjugate) on both the responsibility of artists and the production teams. “The stars in Hong Kong (is) not willing to talk anything or do anything that the hosts have asked them to do; also, no rehearsals have been made before the show,” He blamed ATV for not doing well in recent years, so there is no reason for their competitors- TVB to improve.

Not only for the production team, Ng indicated that the quality of the hosts is important too. “When they ask you some sensitive questions, they will try to create a comfortable environment for the interviewees, and lead them to the core or the main focus of the questions,” Ng feels disappointed about the quality of hosts in Hong Kong. He said he could hardly choose a good host from this generation. Therefore, Ng really hopes both TVB and ATV can improve and become more competitive in the market(s).

Good story telling, the story flows well, and the reader gets a clear picture of the speaker's point of view. Keep it up!   --095105 2012年4月10日 (二) 22:16 (UTC)
