MapKing.com CEO Stanley NG, attended to the New Faculty Week of Shue Yan University this afternoon, said that there are three major issues in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area that need attention, namely information circulation, environment and personal privacy. He also pointed out that although Hong Kong is slow in technological development, it is still among the best in the world.

Stanley said that the development of smart cities needed to cooperate with other countries. When cooperating with mainland China, there is a limit to the flow of domestic data, while Hong Kong with relatively high degrees of freedom will have advantages and more opportunities for cooperation. He has confidence in the regulation of Hong Kong and the data protection in Hong Kong is relatively rigorous in the Mainland. He also said that technology should be regulated to reduce technology crimes, such as stealing personal data. There are doubts that although the sharing economy has many conveniences, there are still many potential problems, he said that there are extreme method. To solve the problem, there are trial measures for using shared travel equipment, and there should be people to identify the technology to help supervise the driver.

In terms of technology, for the Hong Kong and Singapore governments, Stanley said that the public's acceptance of a smart city is not particularly bad. The government is taking a slow step to gradually adapt the public and have a surplus. It can allocate a large amount of funds to develop science and technology. But he said that while other countries are developing driverless cars, Hong Kong is inventing smart lampposts. He also agrees that Singapore is relatively ahead in technology. He said: "Singapore is one step ahead because it has a strong government, and the head of the department will talk directly with others. Singapore's funding is targeted and there are imported labor or talents."
